 The Kansas Volunteer Commission is seeking proposals for 90-minute presentations at the 2017 Kansas Conference on Volunteerism located in Manhattan on November 15 & 16.
 
Suggested topics are: volunteer management, civic engagement, youth mentoring, board development, social media strategies, nonprofit sustainability, and national service topics.

Kansas Volunteer Commission


 

 

The KVC is looking for champions of service to join its ranks of state commissioners. The commissioners are responsible for developing and communicating a statewide vision and ethic of service in Kansas.  Commissioners serve for a three-year term and commit to six bimonthly meetings held throughout the state. Below are the current vacancies. Interested parties can contact Jessica Noble at jnoble@ksde.org.

Current Commissioner Vacancies:

  • An individual with experience in the educational, training and developmental needs of youth, particularly disadvantaged youth
  • An individual with experience in promoting the involvement of older adults in service and volunteerism
  • A representative of local labor organizations in the state
  • An individual between the ages of 18 and 25 who is a participant or supervisor in a program 
  • Public member
