VOLUNTEER MANAGERS GROUP SUPPORT

If you work with volunteers, then consider joining a local volunteer managers group to share best practices and network. Volunteer management is the process that government, faith-based entities and/or nonprofit organizations use to recruit, track, engage and retain volunteers. Managing volunteers is key to developing and maintaining effective, passionate and dedicated volunteers. Therefore, our Commission defines a volunteer managers group as an association that meets (in person or virtually) to support one another in the work of volunteer management.

More specifically, a volunteer managers group provides a network of peers, training support and professional development in and around volunteer management.Below is a list of groups for volunteer managers groups around the state. Don’t see your group represented here? Or want to start a volunteer managers group in your area? Please email volunteer@ksde.org.
